Physics is a fascinating subject. Even if you don’t study it formally, it still has the ability to capture your imagination and make you, quite literally, think about your place in the Universe. Basically, everything in the Universe is physics. From the largest known objects in the Universe, down to the smallest possible objects, it encompasses, literally, everything. Physicists try to take the most complex phenomena and express it in simpler terms. This is more often than not, achieved with the use of mathematics. This gives us the tools to explain and predict the Universe around us.

I personally believe that this understanding is achievable for everyone, regardless of whether you are a maths genius or somebody struggling with high school physics. Often, people struggle with physics because there may be gaps in their knowledge, or there have been some misconceptions that have not been corrected at the right stage. As a qualified and experienced physics teacher, some of my best moments in the classroom result from students having that “Eureka” moment, whether it be solving a problem they previously said they couldn’t do, or making connections with concepts they study and a real-life application.

Everyone is capable of this understanding, sometime it takes a little extra effort. This is where high quality tutoring can come in. All students would benefit greatly from 1-2-1 tuition. By building up concepts from the fundamentals, students understanding of any physics concept can be achieved. Sometimes students just need the odd session to work on something that confuses them. Even when they understand the topics and concepts, they can always be challenged further. Either way, at Physics Tutor Co, I endeavour to help students make sense of physics and achieve the very best they can in the subject.
